Econosto UK are delighted to announce an agreement with Italian manufacturer Elia to represent them in the UK and Ireland. The agreement covers Elias range of double and triple offset High Performance Butterfly valves as well as their High Temp and Rubber Seated valves. Elia, based in Torino, is an ISO9000 certified company and has over 20 years experience supplying butterfly valves into industries in Italy and worldwide. Prime markets are chemical and petrochem, power, naval and general industry and the range of valves covers applications where extreme operational conditions need to be met. The metal seated version of the high performance valve is designed to support extreme temperature and/or corrosive media. It is inherently Fire-Safe and has been tested to BS6755 Pt.2 standards. The valves also conform to the European Pressure Equipment Directive and ATEX Directive. The addition of these valves to the Econosto UK range enables the company to offer customers a greater choice to suit all their applications and is part of a policy of continual product review to meet market needs.

The positive material identification (PMI) testing service that has been available from our Leicester site for some time is now available in Scotland. After investing in one of the testing machines, our Aberdeen warehouse can now identify material composition within seconds with an analysis certificate produced for the client. Econosto UK celebrates 25 years in the valve supply business. From inception in 1984 as Ball Valves UK the company has continued to move with the times and increase both range and quantity of stock in line with customers continuing requirements.
Econosto UK now works with some of the biggest names in industry on contracts across the globe. A dedicated Projects team works to ensure the smooth transition from enquiry to completion of orders varying from carefully timed delivery of straightforward stock items to production of complex special products for one-off applications. Experience in sectors ranging from marine and shipbuilding through to oil, energy and processing industries gives the team a unique insight into customer’s needs.
The company was also one of the first in it’s field to have an e-commerce site and this year a new version has been launched that reflects the increasing demand for purchasing via this route.

Costain Oil, Gas & Process have awarded Econosto UK Preferred Supplier status for valves.
As one of just five key suppliers Econosto UK will now be guaranteed to receive all valve enquiries via Costains procurement system, a move that will help to build on the long-standing relationship between the two companies.
